The Spelmannen is a Swedish music award that has been awarded by the cultural editorial board annually since 1957. The bronze Spelmannen statuette was originally sculpted by the artist Sven Lundqvist. Among previous winners are Herbert Blomstedt, Allan Pettersson, Peter Mattei, Anne-Sofie von Otter, Georg Riedel, Evert Taube, Povel Ramel, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Sven-David Sandström, Olle Adolphson and ABBA.
